Ciao everyone! I haven't written anything in forever because so much has been going on! I can't believe how fast everything is going by here. Another fun weekend has already come to an end. Last night I just got back from Forence. I went with my friend Shaina and we got there Friday afternoon and left Saturday night. Florence is beautiful and definitely worth visiting. It is SO different though then any other city I have been to in Italy so far because there are so many tourists! I haven't heard that much English since I have been home. Our roommate at the hostel was from Australia too, so that was kind of cool to talk to her. Anyways, the city was amazing, especially at night. We hiked up this hill Friday night and there was an AMAZING view of the whole city, it was gorgeous! On Saturday morning we woke up early and went to the Uffizi Art Gallery, which was awesome. There was so much art that we could have spent the whole day in there. We did have to wait in line for an hour and a half, but it wasn't bad at all and it is definitely worth it if you visit Florence. We didn't have time to see that real Statue of David, but there are a lot of copies all over the city, which are still incredible. Someone told us that you could see the Statue from a window outside of the museum, so we went to the museum and looked all over for the window, but couldn't find it :)

Last week, we also got to go to a soccer game. Ferrara's team is called SPAL. It was a lot of fun going to an Italian soccer game, even though the team isn't very good :) The Italian fans are crazy though, and we were pretty much the only girls in the whole stadium. SPAL lost the game 2-1 and at the end, our fans were going crazy and yelling at the other team and their fans. It was pretty intense. I think we get to go to some more games later in the season though, so maybe we will win a game :)

We also learned how to make tagliatelle, which is an egg pasta. It was really easy to make, so I can't wait to make it when I get home. All you do is mix up flour and an egg with your hands until it is dough. Then you flatten it out, roll it up and cut it into long noodles with a knife. It was delicious too :) I really like our cooking classes, because afterwards they feed us a full 4 course meal!

This week, I have 3 midterms, on Monday and Tuesday. It's kind of nice that I will be able to get them all out of the way, but I should probably start studing today! But, here are also some pictures from Florence!
